Epiphone DR-212 12-String Acoustic Guitar
Incredible Dreadnought Sound and Beauty in a 12-String
The DR-212 is a true 12 string acoustic guitar with the big sound and state of the art structural engineering that the world expects from Epiphone. The DR-212 is not just a dreadnaught with 6 extra strings.

Epiphone designed the DR-212 with the strength to support the additional tension of 12 strings, yet has also cleverly incorporated a balanced, cutting, and attention getting tonality from the Spruce top. The 12-string dreadnought has often been thought of as the classic-go to guitar for blues, folk, rock, country, and everything in-between.

You want your 12-string acoustic guitar tone to be distinctive and for your instrument to not come unglued. A lot of 12-string guitar makers expect you to be satisfied with an 'ok' sound hoping that the novelty of having a 12-string will detract from the fact it sounds thin.

The DR-212 features a Select Spruce top. Spruce is a rich and complex tonewood that begins to breath and improve with age the more its played. So play the DR-212 everywhere. The body is made from solid mahogany and the bridge is made from solid rosewood, properly sized and braced for the extra tension of 12 strings tuned to standard tuning. There is a lot of stress put on a 12-string guitar between the nut and bridge and rosewood has proven to be both a long lasting and a perfect compliment to a Select Spruce top. The classic black vintage style pickguard is easy to spot on stage or across the room and has the iconic "Epiphone" E.

Mahogany Neck
The DR-212 mahogany neck is glued-in at the 14th fret and features a 25.5" scale, a SlimTaper shape, and a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Epiphone's iconic Sloped Dovewing headstock completes the look with twelve premium tuners. The DR-212 is available in Natural finish only.

About Epiphone
Epiphone is one of American's oldest and most revered instrument makers and since 1873, Epiphone has made instruments for every style of popular music. The name evokes both history and the spirit of invention. Epiphone has been an audible presence in every great musical era from the mandolin craze of the early 1900s to jazz age guitars of the 1920s. From swing-era archtops through post-war pop, jazz, R&B, and early rock n' roll. From the "British Invasion" to heavy metal, punk, grunge, and thrash. And now, in the 21st century, new Epiphone technical breakthroughs such as the ProBucker pickup, series parallel switching, built-in KillSwitch pots, the Shadow NanoFlex and NanoMag pickup systems, and premier acoustic/electric guitars with the eSonic preamp have brought the historic name to a new generation.
